Alma and Max Théon's The Queen of the Isles, though originally written in English, was translated into French and serialized from June to November 1905 in the Revue Cosmique. Peter Davidson, the cofounder of the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor and one of the Theon’s chief disciples, issued a translation back into English in 1907 which, though in the main accurate, was not without its faults. This current version is a revision of his translation, correcting numerous errors and remedying other imperfections.
